Day 1. MADRID or BARCELONA - A CORUÑA
Departure by plane or train to La Coruna, capital of the autonomous community of Galicia, arrival and accommodation. We do a sightseeing tour of the city, including the Old Town, the Aquarium of Finisterre, also called the fish house, and of course the Tower of Hercules, which according to legend was the place where Hercules killed Geryon, a Trojan king that pursued him throughout the peninsula.
Day 2. A CORUÑA – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Breakfast buffet. We go by road or train to Santiago de Compostela, pilgrimage site of global importance for the Christian religion. Here was buried St. James the Greater, who according to the New Testament was the first elected to spread the word of Jesus of Nazareth. Lunch at local restaurant. We visit the Cathedral, the market of Supplies and walk through the wonderful old town. Check in on arrival to your hotel and overnight.
Day 3 . SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Breakfast buffet. Free day at leisure to experience the spirituality and tranquility that emanates from this Galician city.
Day 4 . SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA - Cambados - VIGO
Breakfast buffet. Departure by road to Cambados, belonging to Pontevedra and placed on Rias Baixas. We have lunch in an old Manor of XVII century in front of the Ria de Arosa, home of Albariño ́s wine. Continue to Vigo, and we do a short tour of the city on arrival. Check in to your hotel and overnight.
Day 5 . VIGO
Breakfast buffet. Free day at leisure to get to know the city and make exciting shopping. If time allows, we recommend visiting the Cies Islands, a great place to enjoy a swim. Of course, a good seafood meal can ́t be missed!
Day 6 . VIGO - MADRID or BARCELONA
Breakfast buffet. Departure by train or plane to our next destination or end of travel. We recommend to extend your travel experience to Asturias and Cantabria or any of the programs offered in Castilla y León.
